The Buffalo Bills will travel to MetLife Stadium to take on the New York Jets this Sunday afternoon in NFL action.

The Buffalo Bills (5-2) will look to bounce back after a shocking 9-6 loss at the hands of the Jacksonville Jaguars this past Saturday. Buffalo struggled offensively against Jacksonville and could not fight back after a 21-yard FG by the Jaguars Matthew Wright gave Jacksonville the lead for good with 12:10 left in the 4th quarter. Buffalo outgained Jacksonville by a 301-218 margin, however, lost the turnover battle by a 3-1 margin in the loss. Leading the way for the Bills was QB Josh Allen who completed 31 of 47 passes for 264 yards & 2 INT while also rushing for 50 yards.

On the season, Buffalo is averaging 29.4 ppg on 400.4 total yards per game (280.6 passing yds/g; 119.8 rushing yds/g). Offensively, Buffalo has been led by QB Josh Allen who has completed 65.5% of his passes for 2236 yards (319.4 passing yds/g), 17 TD, & 5 INT while also rushing for 319 yards & 3 TD. The Top receiving threats for the Bills have been Stefon Diggs (48 rec, 588 yards, 3 TD), Emmanuel Sanders (28 rec, 478 yards, 4 TD), Cole Beasley (51 rec, 446 yards, TD), & Dawson Knox (21 rec, 286 yards, 5 TD). Knox will be unable as he is still out for a few weeks due to a hand injury. Leading the way for the Bills backfield has been the duo of Devin Singletary (73 att, 355 yards, TD) & Zack Moss (65 att, 233 yards).

Defensively, Buffalo is holding their opponents to an average of 14.8 ppg on 274.8 total yards per game (189.1 passing yds/g; 85.6 rushing yds/g).

The New York Jets dropped to 2-6 on the season after being defeated by the Indianapolis Colts, 45-30, on November 4th. New York struggled defensively against Indianapolis and could not fight back after a Jonathan Taylor 78-yard TD run for the Colts gave Indianapolis a 42-10 lead with 6:02 left in the 3rd quarter. New York was outgained by Indianapolis by a 532-486 margin and lost the turnover battle by a 2-0 margin in the loss. Leading the way for the Jets was QB Josh Johnson who completed 27 of 41 passes for 317 yards, 3 TD, & 1 INT after coming in to relieve Mike White who left early due to a forearm injury.

Offensively, New York is averaging 18.0 ppg on 352.6 total yards per game (275.5 passing yds/g; 77.1 rushing yds/g). Offensively, New York has had to used multiple QB’s this season due to injuries. Zack Wilson (57.5 Comp %, 1168 yards, 4 TD, 9 INT) has been out for a few weeks while Mike White (72.7 Comp %, 702 yards, 5 TD, 4 INT) was outstanding in limited time before having to get replaced by Josh Johnson last week. White has been cleared of his injury and has already been tabbed for the start this Sunday. The Leading receivers for the Jets have been Corey Davis (24 rec, 349 yards, 4 TD), Keelan Cole (16 rec, 257 yards), Jamison Crowder (28 rec, 241 yards, TD), & Elijah Moore (22 rec, 230 yards, 2 TD). Leading the way for the Jets backfield has been Michael Carter (86 att, 328 yards, 3 TD; 27 rec, 263 yards) & Ty Johnson (39 att, 137 yards, TD; 19 rec, 227 yards, 2 TD).

Defensively, New York is allowing their opponents to average 31.4 ppg on 424.3 total yards per game (291.0 passing yds/g; 133.3 rushing yds/g).

The Bills are 13-5-1 ATS in their last 19 games overall and 3-0-1 ATS in their last 4 games vs. AFC East opponents. The Jets are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games as a home underdog & 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a winning record.

Buffalo is no doubt the better team, however, the offense just hasn’t looked great over the past few weeks against Miami and Jacksonville. New York is just 2-6 on the season, however, this is a team that has played well at home this season, with wins against Tennessee & Cincinnati, and I think the offense, which should get Corey Davis back this week, will have some success with Mike White under center. I don’t expect the Jets to win this game, however, this is just too many points to pass up on and I think the play here is to take New York and the double-digit points at home. Good Luck!
