Atlanta Falcons at Dallas Cowboys - 11/14/21 NFL Picks and Prediction
The Atlanta Falcons and Dallas Cowboys face off on Sunday in an NFL showdown at AT&T Stadium. When these two teams faced off in 2020 it was the Cowboys that came away with the 40-39 victory.
The Atlanta Falcons come into this game with a 4-4 record overall and they have won four games in a row. In the last game against the New Orleans Saints, the Falcons jumped out to a big lead but had to hold on late to come away with the two point victory. The Falcons are averaging 21.8 while the defense is giving up 27.5 points per game. For the most part this season they have gotten out to slow starts, so it was a positive that they got out to a fast start. Matt Ryan at times has been inconsistent, but he has thrown for 2157 yards, 15 touchdowns, and six interceptions. Calvin Ridley is still away from the team, but in the last game it was Olamide Zahheaus who stepped up.
On the other side of this matchup is the Dallas Cowboys who sit with a 6-2 record but their last game was a disappointing loss. The defense really struggled against the Denver Broncos giving up 30 points, while the offense could only manage 16 points and those all came in the 4th quarter. The Cowboys are averaging 30.1 points while their defense is giving up 24 points per game. Under center is Dak Prescott who has thrown for 2,045 yards, 18 touchdowns, and five interceptions. In this game the offense is going to need to be a lot better early, or this will be another defeat.
Atlanta is 11-5 against the spread in their last 16 road games. Dallas is 5-0 against the spread in their last five games against the NFC. The Falcons are 4-1 against the spread in the last five games against the Cowboys. The over is 4-0 in the last four meetings in Dallas.
The Falcons are getting way too many points in this game. The Cowboys didn’t look good in the last game and they aren’t going to magically improve on it in this game. Look for a big game from Ryan and the Falcons will cover the spread.
