The Tennessee Titans and Los Angeles Rams face off on Sunday in a key NFL showdown at SoFI Stadium. When these two teams last faced off in 2017, the Rams were able to win 27-23.
The Titans currently sit with a 6-2 record overall but they have some issues right now with injuries. Derrick Henry has been lost for the season with a foot injury and the team has brought in Adrian Peterson, but it’s unclear how much playing time he will get in this game. The Titans are averaging 28.4 points while the defense is giving up 24.4 points per game. Ryan Tannehill has had another nice season throwing for 2,002 yards, 10 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. In this game the offense of course will need to be good, but if the defense doesn’t step up, it could be a very long game.
On the other side of this matchup is the Los Angeles Rams who sit with a 7-1 record and they have dreams of a Super Bowl. In the Rams last game against the Texans, they won with ease, but they did give up 22 points in the 4th quarter, and that has to be a concern. The Rams are averaging 30.6 points per game while their defense is giving up 21 points per game. Matthew Stafford is having a big year, but more impressive has been Cooper Kupp who has 924 yards and 10 touchdowns. Darrell Henderson Jr has also had a big year rushing for 507 yards and five touchdowns.
The Titans are 4-0 against the spread in their last four games overall. The Rams are 13-3 against the spread in their last 16 games following an against the spread loss. The over is 4-0 in the last four meetings.
The Titans lean so much on Henry and without him, they are going to struggle to move the ball without him. The Rams are going to run up the score against a Titans defense that isn’t great, and this game is going to get out of control early. Back the Rams against the spread.
