With Ruggs gone, players like Hunter Renfrow and Bryan Edwards are going to be even more important to this offense. If they struggle, this season could go downhill fast.
On the other side of this matchup is the New York Giants who had some scares earlier this week with COVID, but everything seems to be good with this team now although Saquon Barkley has been ruled out with an ankle injury. The Giants sit with a 2-6 record overall, but they gave the Chiefs everything they could handle in the last game. The Giants held the Chiefs to only 20 points, but the offense could only manage 17 points. The Giants are averaging 19.5 points while the defense is giving up 25 points per game. Under center for the Giants is Daniel Jones and he has thrown for 1949 yards, seven touchdowns, and five interceptions.
