The Denver Broncos and Dallas Cowboys face off on Sunday in a cross conference matchup at AT&T Stadium. When these two teams faced off in 2017 it was the Broncos that were able to win 42-17.
The Broncos beat up on some bad teams earlier this season, but their season has really fallen apart. The Broncos had lost three games in a row before beating Washington in their last game. Even in that last game, the offense only scored 17 points, and the offense is clearly an issue for this team. The Broncos are averaging 19.6 points while the defense is giving up 17.1 points per game. The Broncos did trade away Von Miller earlier this week so the defense has become a little weaker. Teddy Bridgewater is under center for the Broncos and in the last game he didn’t have any interceptions. If the Broncos want any chance Bridgewater needs to not turn the ball over.
On the other side of this matchup is the Dallas Cowboys who sit with a 6-1 record and they won last week's game with Cooper Rush under center. Dak Prescott is healed though, and he will start in this game. The Cowboys are averaging 32.1 points while the defense is giving up 23.1 points per game. Prescott is having a big season having thrown for 1,813 yards, 16 touchdowns, and four interceptions. Running backs Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard have been quite the one-two punch out of the backfield combining for over 950 yards.
The Broncos are 1-4 against the spread in their last five games overall. Dallas is 5-0 against the spread in their last five games overall. The home team is 4-1 against the spread in the last five meetings. The over is 4-1 in the last five meetings.
The Broncos offense is awful, and they don’t have the output to keep this game close. Prescott is going to have a big game, the Cowboys are going to run up the score, and this game is going to get ugly and out of control early. Back the Cowboys against the spread.
