After releasing star receiver Odell Beckham, the Cleveland Browns will head to Cincinnati on Sunday to continue the Battle of Ohio. The Browns are coming off of a disappointing home loss to the Steelers while the Bengals flopped against the Jets last week. Cleveland has won the last two matchups.

The Browns have been mediocre so far this season and the offensive woes have been the blame. They are only scoring 22.9 points per game and averaging 221.4 passing yards per game. They are currently last in the AFC north.

Baker Mayfield has struggled this season as he’s completed only 66.7 percent of passes for 242.7 yards per game and six touchdowns while also throwing three interceptions.

Odell Beckham Jr. was unhappy with the lack of targets he’s seen this season as the star WR only has 232 receiving yards on the season. He was officially released from the team this week. The other star receiver for the Browns, Jarvis Landry, is expected to play against the Bengals.

The Browns defense is among the best in the NFL as their secondary ranks seventh against the pass. The run defense complements perfectly, ranked third. Overall, they are holding opponents to only 22.5 points, which is good for 13th overall.

Joe Burrow is having a strong season in his second year, averaging 276.9 passing yards per game with 20 touchdowns to nine interceptions. Burrow has something special with rookie wide receiver, and former LSU teammate,  Ja'Marr Chase. He averages 98.3 receiving yards per game and has seven touchdowns on the season. Additionally, running back Joe Mixon is contributing 71.5 rushing yards per game, to balance out this offense.

The Bengals are coming off of an unexpected loss to the Jets. They surrendered a whopping 405 passing yards to Jets backup QB Mike White and 511 total yards. This likely will not happen again as this team is ranking 23rd against the pass while the rush defense comes in at 7th.

The Bengals are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games following a straight up loss. That locker room must have been a sight to see after that Jets loss. Look for the Bengals to cover this short spread against a team that has drama and egos clouding their judgement.
