Tampa Bay Buccaneers at New Orleans Saints: 10/31/21 NFL Picks and Predictions
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New Orleans Saints face off in an NFC South showdown at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. The Saints have won five of the last six games against the Buccaneers, but in the last game it was the Buccaneers that won 30-20.
The Buccaneers have had quite the start to their season winning six of their first seven games. In the last game against the Bears, it was one of their best wins of the season winning 38-3. The Bucs are averaging 33.3 points while the defense is giving up 21 points per game. Quarterback Tom Brady is having a big season throwing for 2,275 yards, 21 touchdowns, and three interceptions. Running back Leonard Fournette is having a big season rushing for 413 yards and four touchdowns. Antonio Brown is dealing with a knee injury, and it’s expected that he will miss this game.
On the other side of this matchup is the New Orleans Saints who sit with a 4-2 record overall and they have won two games in a row. In the last game against the Seattle Seahawks it was an ugly game, but the Saints were able to win 13-10. The Saints are averaging 23.3 points while the defense is giving up 16,8 points. Jameis Winston has thrown for 1,114 yards, 13 touchdowns, and three interceptions. Alvin Kamara has also had 114 rushing attempts for 419 yards and a touchdown.
The Buccaneers are 1-4 against the spread in their last five games in Week 8. The Saints are 9-4 against the spread in their last 13 games against the NFC. The Buccaneers are 1-5 against the spread. The road team is 5-2 against the spread in the last seven meetings between the Bucs and Saints.
It really feels like the Saints have gotten lucky so far this season, and that is going to change against the Buccaneers. I expect another big game from Tom Brady, and this game is going to get out of hand early. Look for the Buccaneers to score at least 25 points, and the Bucs will cover the spread.
