The Miami Dolphins will visit the Highmark Stadium on Sunday afternoon to face the Buffalo Bills in an AFC East matchup. The Bills are coming off a bye week. Before that, they lost 34-31 to the Tennessee Titans in a game where they failed to cover as 6 point favorites. These two teams played earlier in the season with the Bills blowing the Dolphins out by 5 TDs.
The Dolphins have struggled this season and are last in the AFC East with a 1-6 record. Last week, they lost 30-28 at home against the Atlanta Falcons. After being injured to start the season, Tua Tagovailoa has a 47.6 QBR while completing 69.5 percent of his passes for 835 yards and 7 touchdowns. Tua didn’t play in the first matchup and should help his team score this time out. The Dolphins will need all they can get from Tua as this matchup doesn’t look good for them. Miami is 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games vs AFC East.
If we look at the other side of this QB matchup, Josh Allen has looked great to start out. Allen has a 64.5 QBR while completing 64.8 percent of his passes for 1,723 yards with 15 touchdowns and three interceptions. This Bills team has also been dominant defensively only giving up around 16 points per game. Buffalo is 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games vs a team with a losing record. Look for Allen to have a better passing game as he was average last time these two teams played in September.
12 is a lot to lay. I don’t love it but this Bills team has to assert their dominance after that loss to Tennessee. I can’t put money on a team like the Dolphins who are piling up the losses in hopes for draft capital.
