The Houston Texans will host the Los Angeles Rams from NRG Stadium on Sunday in an AFC vs NFC showdown. The Rams are looking for their 7th win on the season while Houston is looking for just it’s second. 

The Texans are putting up less than 14 points per game. One of their offensive bright spots this year has been the play of Mark Ingram II who has rushed for 294 yards with a 42 yards per game average. Ingram was sent to New Orleans in a trade this week so the Texans will have to get creative when it comes to gaining yardage. Not only does this team fail to move the ball down the field, they also struggle to get stops. Their defense is 26th in the NFL giving away an average of 29.0 points and 392.0 yards per game. The Texans are 1-4 ATS in their last five and 3-9 ATS in the last 12 against a team with a winning record. 

The passing game of the Rams has looked amazing this season under New QB Matt Stafford. The Rams average 310 yards through the air per game. This game may seem too easy for the Rams. But they are good at laying the smackdown on teams. They failed to cover a large spread last week so I look for them to do it this week. The Rams are 13-3-1 ATS in their last 17 games following an ATS loss. 

This is another one where the large point spread scares me. I just can’t see this horrid Houston team keeping things close. The Rams definitely win this, but the large spread will keep this interesting. I’ll take a shot with the Rams.
