The Washington Football Team will travel to Lambeau Field to take on the Green Bay Packers this Sunday afternoon in NFL action.

The Washington Football Team lost their 2nd straight game and dropped to 2-4 on the season after being defeated by the Kansas City Chiefs, 31-13, this past Sunday. Washington struggled on both ends of the field against Kansas City and could not fight back after a 3-yard TD rush by Darrel Williams gave the Chiefs a 24-13 lead early in the 4th quarter. Washington won the turnover battle by a 3-2 margin, however, was outgained by Kansas City by a 499-276 margin. Leading the way for Washington was RB J.D. McKissic who combined for 110 total yards (45 rushing; 65 receiving).

On the season, Washington is averaging 22.7 ppg on 340.2 total yards per game (233.8 passing yds/g; 106.3 rushing yds/g). Offensively, Washington has been led by RB Antonio Gibson who has rushed for 357 yards & 3 TD while also hauling in 16 receptions for 119 yards & 1 TD. QB Taylor Heinicke has completed 63.6% of his passes for 1390 yards (252.5 yds/g), 9 TD, & 6 INT. The top receiving threats for Washington have been Terry McLaurin (33 rec, 428 yards, 3 TD), J.D. McKissic (21 rec, 215 yards, TD), Adam Humphries (15 rec, 149 yards), & Ricky Seals-Jones (12 rec, 137 yards, 2 TD).

Defensively, Washington is allowing their opponents to average 31.0 ppg on 430.8 total yards per game (317.3 passing yds/g; 113.5 rushing yds/g).

The Green Bay Packers won their 5th straight game and improved to 5-1 on the season after defeating the Chicago Bears, 24-14, this past Sunday. Green Bay was solid on the defensive end against Justin Field and the Chicago offense and was able to seal victory after a 6-yard TD run by Aaron Rodgers gave the Packers a double-digit lead with just 4:30 left in the 4th quarter. Green Bay outgained Chicago by a 323-277 margin and won the turnover battle by a 1-0 margin in the victory. Leading the way for the Packers was Aaron Rodgers who completed 17 of 23 passes for 195 yards & 2 TD while also rushing for 1 TD.

On the season, Green Bay has been led by QB Aaron Rodgers who has completed 66.7% of his passes for 1436 yards (243.2 yds/g), 12 TD, & 3 INT. The top receiving threats for Rodgers and the Packers have been Davante Adamas (46 rec, 668 yards, 2 TD), Randall Cobb (11 rec, 157 yards, 2 TD), Allen Lazard (10 rec, 124 yards, TD), & Robert Tonyan (11 rec, 92 yards, TD). Leading the way for the Green Bay backfield has been Aaron Jones who has rushed for 385 yards & 2 TD while also hauling in 21 receptions for 166 yards & 4 TD.

Defensively, Green Bay is holding their opponents to an average of 22.7 ppg on 332.0 total yards per game (223.5 passing yds/g; 108.5 rushing yds/g).

Washington is 4-1 ATS vs. a team with a winning record, however, are just 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games overall. The Packers are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games overall and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games as a favorite.

Washington is a better team that they have shown so far this season defensively, however, the secondary has been torched throughout this season and I don’t think traveling to Green Bay to face the trio of Aaron Rodgers, Aaron Jones, & Davante Adams is the remedy that they are looking for. Green Bay’s defense has been solid since allowing 38 points in their season opener against New Orleans and between the fact that Washington is a bit banged up on the offensive end and that their offense was only able to put up 13 points against Kansas City last week, I think Green Bay wins this one by 10 and covers this spread. Good Luck!
