Carolina Panthers at New York Giants - 10/24/21 NFL Picks and Prediction
The Carolina Panthers head to Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ, to battle the New York Giants on Sunday Afternoon. Both teams are coming off of losses.
Carolina went 3-0 to open the season with easy wins against the Jets, Saints and Texans. Last week, the Panthers lost a heartbreaker in overtime. Carolina trailed 28-17 early in the fourth before they found a way to tie the game with less than a minute remaining in regulation. After fighting back, they lost the game half way through overtime thanks to a Cousins TD pass to K.J. Osborn. The Panther’s average offense is ranked at 17 but they are facing a very weak Giants team.Facing the 27th ranked Giants defense should give them a chance to take out the frustration of that OT loss.
The Giants are dealing with a ton of injuries, especially in key offensive positions. Specifically running back Saquon Barkley and wide receiver Kenny Golladay are both doubtful for Sunday’s game. Daniel Jones isn’t helping out the Giants offense at all. Last week he went 29 of 51 for 242 passing yards and three interceptions. The offensive line of the Giants allowed Jones to be sacked 4 times so it’s not like he has time to throw these bad passes anyway. The Rams smoked them last week from the opening kick. Without Barkley to run the ball, this Giants team cannot gain yardage and can’t keep up with most NFL teams.
I like the Panthers here to beat up on this depleted Giants team. This line is very short and the Giants are just that bad right now. The Panthers went 3-0 to start the season playing bad teams and this is a chance to grab another win.
