The Buffalo Bills will travel to GEHA Field at Arrowhead to take on the Kansas City Chiefs this Sunday night in NFL action.
The Buffalo Bills won their 3rd straight game and improved to 3-1 on the season after defeating the Houston Texans, 40-0, this past Sunday. Buffalo dominated Houston in all aspects of the game and had no trouble securing the victory going into halftime with a 16-0 lead. Buffalo outgained Houston by a 450-109 margin and won the turnover battle by a 5-1 margin in the victory. Leading the way for the Bills was QB Josh Allen who completed 20 of 30 passes for 248 yards, 2 TD, & 1 INT.
On the season, Buffalo is averaging 33.5 ppg on 411.3 total yards per game (266.0 passing yds/g; 145.3 rushing yds/g). Offensively, Buffalo has been led by QB Josh Allen who has completed 63.1% of his passes for 1055 yards, 9 TD, & 2 INT. Defensively, Buffalo is holding their opponents to an average of 11.0 ppg on 235.3 total yards per game (167.3 passing yds/g; 68.0 rushing yds/g).
The Kansas City Chiefs improved to 2-2 on the season after defeating the Philadelphia Eagles, 42-30, this past Sunday. Kansas City was outstanding on the offensive end against the Eagles and was able to pull away after a 44-yard TD reception by Tyreek Hill gave the Chiefs a 42-33 lead with 2:30 left in the 4th quarter. Kansas City outgained Philadelphia by a 471-461 margin and committed 1 turnover in the victory. Leading the way for the Chiefs was WR Tyreek Hill who had 11 receptions for 186 yards & 3 TD’s.
On the season, Kansas City is averaging 33.5 ppg on 434.8 total yards per game (304.5 passing yds/g; 130.3 rushing yds/g). Offensively, Kansas City is led by QB Patrick Mahomes who has completed 72.3% of his passes for 1218 yards, 14 TD, 4 INT. The top receiving threats for Mahomes and the Chiefs have been Tyreek Hill (30 rec, 453 yards, 4 TD), Travis Kelce (24 rec, 312 yards, 3 TD), Mecole Hardman (13 rec, 123 yards, TD). Defensively, Kansas City is allowing their opponents to average 31.3 ppg on 453.0 total yards per game (307.0 passing yds/g; 146.0 rushing yds/g).
The Bills are 8-1-1 ATS in their last 10 games following a straight up win of more than 14 points and 12-3 ATS in their last 15 games overall. The Chiefs are 2-5 ATS vs. a team with a winning record and 1-7 ATS in their last 8 home games.
Both Buffalo and Kansas City have two of the most explosive offenses in the NFL, however, the biggest differences in these teams as the Buffalo comes into this game with the top-ranked scoring defense while Kansas City ranks 31st. Kansas City is the slight favorite as they are at home, but Buffalo in my opinion is the team to beat in the AFC and as I just don’t see Kansas City’s defense slowing down Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs, I’m taking Buffalo to win this game outright. Good Luck!
