The Kansas City Chiefs will travel to Lincoln Financial Field to take on the Philadelphia Eagles this Sunday afternoon in NFL action.

The Kansas City Chiefs lost their 2nd straight game and dropped to 1-2 on the season after being defeated by the Los Angeles Chargers, 30-24, this past Sunday. Kansas City kept the game close despite struggling with turnovers, however, the defense could not get a big stop late and the Chargers were able to win it on a 4-yard TD reception by Mike Williams with just :32 seconds left in the 4th quarter. Kansas City outgained Los Angeles by a 437-352 margin, however, lost the turnover battle by a 4-0 margin in the loss. Leading the way for the Chiefs was Patrick Mahomes who completed 27 of 44 passes for 260 yards, 3 TD, & 2 INT.

On the season, Kansas City is averaging 30.7 ppg on 420.3 total yards per game (313.3 passing yds/g; 107.0 rushing yds/g). Offensively, Kansas City is led by Patrick Mahomes who has completed 70.3% of his passes for 940 yards, 9 TD, & 3 INT. The top receiving threats for Mahomes and the Chiefs have been Travis Kelce (20 rec, 289 yards, 3 TD), Tyreek Hill (19 rec, 267 yards, TD), Mecole Hardman (11 rec, 107 yards, TD), & Byron Pringle (5 rec, 81 yards, TD). Leading the way for the Chiefs backfield has been Clyde Edwards-Helaire who has 189 rushing yards on 44 carries while also hauling in 5 receptions for 38 yards & 1 TD.

Defensively, Kansas City is allowing their opponents to average 31.7 ppg on 440.7 total yards per game (280.3 passing yds/g; 160.3 rushing yds/g).

The Philadelphia Eagles lost their 2nd straight game and dropped to 1-2 on the season after being defeated by the Dallas Cowboys, 41-21, this past Monday night. Philadelphia had no answers on the defensive end for the Cowboys and could not fight back after a 2-yard TD reception by the Cowboys Cedrick Wilson gave Dallas a 34-14 lead early in the 4th quarter. Philadelphia was outgained by Dallas by a 380-367 margin and lost the turnover battle by a 2-1 margin in the loss. Leading the way for the Eagles was QB Jalen Hurts who completed 25 of 39 passes for 326 yards, 2 TD, & 2 INT while also leading the Eagles in rushing with 35 yards.

On the season, Philadelphia is averaging 21.3 ppg on 389.3 total yards per game (260.0 passing yds/g; 129.3 rushing yds/g). Offensively, Philadelphia is led by QB Jalen Hurts who has completed 66.0% of his passes for 780 yards, 5 TD, & 2 INT. Hurts is also in the leading rusher for the Eagles as he has 179 rushing yards & 1 TD on 26 carries. In the backfield with Hurts is Miles Sanders who has 156 rushing yards on 30 carries. The top receiving threats for the Eagles have been Quez Watkins (7 rec, 186 yards), Dallas Goedert (8 rec, 132 yards, TD), DeVonta Smith (11 rec, 115 yards, TD), & Jalen Reagor (13 rec, 107 yards, TD).

Defensively, Philadelphia is allowing their opponents to average 21.3 ppg on 330.7 total yards per game (197.0 passing yds/g; 133.7 rushing yds/g).

The Chiefs are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games after accumulating more than 350 total yards in their previous game, however, are just 1-5 ATS in their last 6 road games. The Eagles are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games as a home underdog and 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games following an ATS loss.

Kansas City has had a shocking start to their season, however, make no mistake, this is still arguably one of the best teams in the AFC with an offense that can put up points on almost any play. Philadelphia has some talent, however, it was concerning seeing the Eagles defense give up 40+ points against the Dallas offense. Philadelphia doesn't have the most explosive of offenses, however, should be able to put up some points against a Kansas City that ranks 30th in total defense and as I think there is going to be a combined 60+ points scored in this one, I think the play here is to go with the Over. Good Luck!
