The Arizona Cardinals face the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, October 3rd, at SoFi Stadium for a Week 4 NFL matchup.
The Arizona Cardinals are coming off a comeback win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on the road. The Cards were down 19-10 near the end of the 3rd quarter, but costly mistakes by Jacksonville paved the way for an Arizona win and cover of the 7.5-point spread as well. The Cardinals are now a perfect 3-0 on the season and will be facing their first divisional foe of the season. The Cardinals' offense has been potent this season, scoring 34 points per game and earning 432 total yards per contest as well. Kyler Murray has led the way with over a thousand yards passing, seven touchdowns, and four interceptions. The Cardinals' defense has allowed 22 points and 343 total yards of offense to opposing teams on the year.
The Los Angeles Rams are also 3-0 on the year after beating the defending Super Bowl Champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers at home last week. The Rams won that game by a final score of 38-24 as it was a complete showing for a team that looks to be a real contender for an NFC Championship this season. Matthew Stafford has taken a liking to his new club, especially his new wide receiver Cooper Kupp who has had a monster start to the year as well. The Rams are scoring 32 points per game on 388 total yards of offense this season. Starting running back, Darrell Henderson, is expected to play this week after missing last week's game. The Rams' defense has allowed 21 points per game and 374 total yards of offense per game to opposing teams.
The Rams are 4.5-point favorites and the total is set at 54.5. I think we see both of these defenses step it up a notch as even though both of these teams are known for their explosiveness, they also contain plenty of weapons defensively. This should be an entertaining game and one that I like the under in.
