The Seattle Seahawks and Minnesota Vikings face off on Sunday in a Week 4 NFL showdown at US Bank Stadium. These two teams faced off in October of 2020 and the Seahawks came away with the 27-26 victory.
The Vikings have lost their first two games but they were by a combined four points. The Vikings had a chance against the Arizona Cardinals to win the game, but it was a missed field goal that led to the one-point defeat. Kirk Cousins looked impressive in the last game, completing 22 of his 32 passes for 244 yards and three touchdowns. Dalvin Cook also had a big game rushing for 131 yards on 22 carries. Cook is questionable for this game, but signs are pointing towards him going in this game. The Vikings defense was supposed to be improved this year, but that hasn’t happened yet this year. In this game the Vikings secondary needs to be good and try to control Russell Wilson.
On the other side of this matchup is the Seattle Seahawks who opened up their season on the road with a win over the Indianapolis Colts, but in the last game against the Tennessee Titans, they were defeated. The Seahawks gave up 14 points in the last quarter and that collapse led to the loss. Russell Wilson is having another big year throwing for 597 yards, six touchdowns, and zero interceptions. Chris Carson has also found success rushing for 122 yards and two touchdowns.
The home team is 6-2 against the spread in the last eight meetings played between the Seahawks and Vikings. Seattle is 1-5 against the spread in their last six games as a road favorite. The Vikings are 1-6 against the spread in their last seven games against the NFC. The under is 4-1 in Seattle’s last five road games. The over is 5-0 in the Vikings' last five games.
The Vikings kept last years game close, and they are going to do the same again in this game. I was really impressed with Cousins' last game, and he is going to have another big game on Sunday. The Seahawks' defense is bad, and Cousins will take advantage. You aren’t going to need the points with the Vikings, take them on the money line.
