The Chicago Bears will head on the road to face the Cleveland Browns this Sunday in an NFL regular season showdown. Both teams are 1-1 heading into this week three matchup.

The Bears won their last game 20-17 at home against the Cincinnati Bengals. They lost Andy Dalton in the game, so rookie Justin Fields saw his first NFL action. It was a shaky first outing, as he was 6/13 for 60 yards with a pick and two sacks. The ground game was effective all day, as they averaged 7.7 yards a carry with a touchdown. On defense they did an amazing down slowing down Joe Burrow. The Bears had three interceptions and five sacks. To start the season, Chicago ranks 31st in the NFL with just 135.5 passing yards per game but rank 8th with 128.5 yards on the ground. They are averaging 17 points per game while surrendering 25.5 to the opposition.

Cleveland was heading toward an 0-2 start before Tyrod Taylor went down for the Texans last week. Cleveland dominated the second half against rookie Davis Mills and came away with a 31-21 victory at home. Baker Mayfield was 19/21 for 213 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Nick Chubb had a great day, racking up 95 yards on 11 carries with one touchdown. The defense was having a tough time when Taylor was in the game, but in the second half they were able to force an interception and get a few key stops late to seal the game. Through two games, the Browns rank third with 154.5 rushing yards per game. They have averaged 30 points per game while allowing 27 to the opposition.

Chicago is 4-6 ATS in their last 10 games, 4-6 on the money line, and the over is 6-4.

Cleveland is 5-5 ATS in their last 10 games, 7-3 on the money line, and the over is 7-3.

Not only do these two teams run the ball well, but they do a good job stopping it. Neither team is allowing more than 80 yards per game, but they have been beaten through the air. The Browns are going to have much more success through the air with Fields under center for Chicago. The Bears will likely have trouble establishing anything on offense with the way they looked in Fields’ first appearance. Cleveland should be able to wear down this Bears defense as the game goes and do enough to bang out a cover at home.

The pick in this article is the opinion of the writer, not a PickDawgz site consensus.
