The Tennessee Titans face the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, September 19th, at Lumen Field for a Week 2 matchup.
The Tennessee Titans had one of the more disappointing showings in the league in their Week 1 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. The Titans lost that game 38-13 at home as it was a blowout from start to finish. The Titans' offense only managed 248 total yards on offense as both the rushing and passing games could not get much going. Running back Derrick Henry ran a total of 17 times for 58 yards, only earning 3.4 yards per attempt. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill was pressured all game long and only managed to complete 21 of 35 passes for 212 yards, one passing touchdown, and one interception. The Titans' defense was torched for over 400 yards, which was a big surprise, to say the least. The Titans will look to bounce back but it will not be easy facing this Seahawks team at Lumen Field.
The Seattle Seahawks defeated the Indianapolis Colts in Week 1 by the final score of 28-16. Quarterback Russell Wilson showed that he is still a top QB in the league as he went off for four passing touchdowns and 254 yards passing. Wilson only needed to complete 18 passes to have one of the best performances from any quarterback in Week 1. The Seahawks' defense made Carson Wentz's life difficult in that game, putting a lot of pressure on him and forcing the Colts into many tough situations offensively. The Seahawks only won the yard battle 381-336, but it was still a dominant showing from start to finish by Seattle. There were certainly some question marks on both sides of the line for Seattle heading into this season but so far, issues have not shown up.
The Seattle Seahawks are a 6-point favorite and the total is set at 54. I think the Seahawks find a way to win this game at home, a place where they have been dominant for years. However, I do think the Titans show up for this contest and show a lot more promise on both sides of the ball to keep this game close. This should be an entertaining game that could go back and forth from start to finish. I want the points in my back pocket.
