The Minnesota Vikings and Kansas City Chiefs face off on Friday night in Week 3 of the NFL preseason at Arrowhead Stadium.

The Minnesota Vikings have not looked good so far during the preseason, and that has caused Mike Zimmer to decide that some starters might play in this game. It wouldn’t be shocking if Cousins played a quarter or more in this game. It also might be a chance for Danielle Hunter to play after missing all of last season with an injury. The Vikings offense hasn’t looked good, and against the Indianapolis Colts, the offense could only score 10 points and that led to the 12 point defeat. Jake Browning completed six of his 15 passes for 82 yards. Kellan Mond completed six of his 12 passes for 61 yards. The Vikings need to see some better production out of the offense in this game. 

On the other side of this matchup is the Kansas City Chiefs who have won each of their two games in the preseason. In the last game against the Arizona Cardinals, the Chiefs were able to come away with the 17-10 victory. Patrick Mahomes played a good amount of the last game completing 10 of his 18 passes for 78 yards and an interception. Shane Buechele completed 9 of his 11 passes for 115 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. Anthony Gordon also completed 7 of his 7 passes for 42 yards. There is a battle for the backup quarterback behind Mahomes, and that will be the battle in this one.

The Cardinals are 2-7 against the spread in their last nine games overall. The Saints are 7-2 against the spread in their last nine games against the NFC. The favorite is 5-2 against the spread in the last seven meetings played between the two teams. The over is 6-2 in the last eight meetings played between the two teams. 

The Vikings offense isn’t going to improve in this game, and that is going to really let them down in this game. Look for the Chiefs to come away with a victory and a cover of the spread in a game that stays under the total.
