Jones is still in a quarterback battle with Cam Newton for the starting quarterback job, and all eyes will be on both of those players in this game. On the other side of this matchup is the Philadelphia Eagles who faced off with the Pittsburgh Steelers in the first game and they were defeated 24-16. Jalen Hurts didn’t play a whole lot in the first game, rather it was Joe Flacco who played most of the game. Flacco completed 10 of his 17 passes for 178 yards and a touchdown. The running game didn’t have a whole lot of production, and that is going to need to be better in this game. The defense did have some issues in the first game stopping the pass, and in this game, they are going to need the defense to step up.
