The Cincinnati Bengals and Miami Dolphins face off on Sunday in a Week 13 NFL showdown at Hard Rock Stadium.
The Cincinnati Bengals lost Joe Burrow for the season and they have now turned to Brandon Allen to start under center. There were already some struggles with Burrow under center, and now it’s going to be even more difficult to win games. In Brandon Allen’s first start against the New York Giants he threw for 136 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. The Bengals offense really struggled to get anything going on the ground. Giovani Bernard also wasn’t a whole lot of help on the ground having only eight carries for 32 yards. The Bengals only have two wins on the season and they have lost three games in a row. On defense the Bengals are giving up 26.3 points per game which is 22nd in the NFL. To win this game the Bengals can’t fall behind or they are going to be in trouble.
On the other side of this matchup is the Miami Dolphins who lost their first two games of the season, but since that point they have played really well only losing two of their last nine games. The big question heading into this game for the Dolphins is who will be under center. Tua Tagovailoa is dealing with a thumb injury and is questionable for this game. If he can’t go it will be Ryan Fitzpatrick who will be under center again for this team. In the last game Fitzpatrick threw for 257 yards and two touchdowns. Running back Deandre Washington had the best game against the New York Jets rushing 13 times for 49 yards. On defense this season, the Dolphins have been really good giving up only 18.6 points per game and in this one the defense is going to need to lock down again.
The Bengals are 5-2 against the spread in their last seven games against the AFC. The Bengals are 6-1 against the spread in their last seven games overall. The under is 4-1 in the Bengals last five games against the AFC. The under is 4-1-1 in the last six meetings between the two teams. The home team is 4-0 against the spread in the last four games between the Bengals and the Dolphins.
This number has already gone today, but the play is still with the under to cash. The Dolphins are going to lock down to the Bengals offense and that is going to keep this game low scoring. Back the under to cash with ease.
