The Arizona Cardinals and Seattle Seahawks meet Sunday in week 16 NFL action at CenturyLink Field.
The Arizona Cardinals look to play spoiler after losing six of their last seven games. The Arizona Cardinals have lost their last three road games. Kyler Murray is completing 64.7 percent of his passes for 3,279 yards, 17 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. Murray enters this game with 482 career pass attempts. Larry Fitzgerald and Christian Kirk have combined for 1,360 receiving yards and six touchdowns while David Johnson has 35 receptions. The Arizona Cardinals ground game is averaging 119 yards per contest, and Murray leads the way with 504 yards and four touchdowns. Defensively, Arizona is allowing 28.4 points and 413.1 yards per game. Jordan Hicks leads the Arizona Cardinals with 130 tackles, Chandler Jones has 15 sacks and Patrick Peterson has two interceptions.
The Seattle Seahawks look to stay hot after winning nine of their last 11 games. The Seattle Seahawks have won three of their last four home games. Russell Wilson is completing 67.4 percent of his passes for 3,708 yards, 28 touchdowns and five interceptions. Wilson has two or more touchdown passes in 20 of his last 26 games. Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf have combined for 1,813 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns while Will Dissly has 23 receptions. The Seattle Seahawks ground game is averaging 141.7 yards per contest, and Chris Carson leads the way with 1,190 yards and seven touchdowns. Defensively, Seattle is allowing 24.6 points and 378.3 yards per game. Bobby Wagner leads the Seattle Seahawks with 139 tackles, Rasheem Green has four sacks and Tre Flowers has three interceptions.
The Cardinals are 5-1-1 ATS in their last 7 games as a road underdog, 5-1-1 ATS in their last 7 road games and 9-4-1 ATS in their last 14 games as an underdog. The Seahawks are 3-0-1 ATS in their last 4 games as a favorite, 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 vs. NFC and 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall. The over is 12-5 in Cardinals last 17 games on fieldturf. The over is 4-1 in Seahawks last 5 home games. The Cardinals are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 meetings in Seattle and 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 meetings. The underdog is 7-1-1 ATS in their last 9 meetings. The road team is 8-1-1 ATS in their last 10 meetings.
The Arizona Cardinals continue to be more competitive than most thought they'd be this season, and while the Seahawks are winning games, each of their last eight wins have been decided by single digits. With that said, I'm still leaning toward the Seahawks in a comfortable home victory. The Seattle Seahawks beat the Cardinals by 17 points when these teams met earlier this season and this is also the time of year when Seattle starts entering playoff mode and starts flexing its muscle in games it should win easily. With the top seed in the NFC still up for grabs, the Seahawks don't have time to be messing around with the Cardinals. I'll eat the chalk.
