The Chicago Bears and the Green Bay Packers meet in a week 15 NFC North division matchup from Lambeau Field on Sunday afternoon.
The Chicago Bears come into this game looking to build on their three-game winning streak after a 31-24 win over Dallas on Thursday night football. Mitch Trubisky threw for 244 yards, 3 touchdowns and a pick on 23 of 31 passing while also rushing for 63 yards and a touchdown. David Montgomery led the Bears with 86 rushing yards while J.P. Holtz led the Bears with 56 receiving yards. Allen Robinson II led Chicago with 5 grabs for 48 yards and 2 touchdowns while Anthony Miller added 42 receiving yards and a touchdown. Defensively, Nick Kwiatkoski led the Bears with 10 total tackles including a team-high 8 solo tackles in the win. As a team, Chicago is averaging 289.5 yards of total offense and 19.7 points per game while allowing 326.5 yards of total defense and 17.8 points per game against this season.
The Green Bay Packers come into this game looking to build on back-to-back wins after a 20-15 win over Washington last time out. Aaron Rodgers threw for 195 yards and a touchdown on 18 of 28 passing while Aaron Jones rushed for 134 yards and a touchdown. Jones also led the Packers in receiving with 6 grabs for 58 yards while Jimmy Graham caught 3 for 49, Davante Adams hauled in 4 for 41 and Robert Tonyan’s lone reception went 12 yards for a touchdown. Defensively, Blake Martinez led the Packers with 11 total tackles while Kenny Clark had 1.5 sacks and Adrian Amos had an interception. As a team, Green Bay is averaging 340.1 yards of total offense and 23.8 points per game while allowing 367.9 yards of total defense and 20.8 points per game against this season.
Chicago is 9-2 ATS in their last 11 division games and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 road games while the under is 5-1 in their last 6 games against a team with a winning record. Green Bay is 3-8 ATS in their last 11 division games and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games against a team with a winning record while the under is 4-1 in their last 5 games overall. Chicago is 5-13 ATS in the last 18 meetings between these two teams.
Both teams desperately need this win, and truthfully I think it could go either way. However, the line isn’t dead on a pick ‘em, and we are getting some points to work with. More than enough in my opinion as I see this being a field goal game at most and I see the Bears putting a scare in Green Bay with potential home field and a first round bye on the line for the Packers. But let’s not forget that Chicago is two games out of a wild card spot with three games to go and I wasn’t all that impressed with what I saw from Green Bay in their win against Washington. I’ll take Chicago and the points here.
