The New York Jets and Baltimore Ravens meet Thursday in week 15 NFL action at M&T Bank Stadium.
The New York Jets look to play spoiler after winning four of their last five games. The New York Jets have lost five of their last six road games. Sam Darnold is completing 62.2 percent of his passes for 2,424 yards, 15 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. Darnold has two or more touchdown passes in three of his last four games. Robby Anderson and Jamison Crowder have combined for 1,280 receiving yards and seven touchdowns while Demaryius Thomas has 36 receptions. The New York Jets ground game is averaging 75.6 yards per contest, and Le’Veon Bell leads the way with 589 yards and three touchdowns. Defensively, New York is allowing 23.2 points and 320.8 yards per game. Jamal Adams leads the New York Jets with 64 tackles, Jordan Jenkins has seven sacks and Neville Hewitt has two interceptions.
The Baltimore Ravens look to close in on the top seed in the AFC while building on their nine-game winning streak. The Baltimore Ravens have won their last four home games. Lamar Jackson is completing 66.3 percent of his passes for 2,677 yards, 28 touchdowns and six interceptions. Jackson has three or more touchdown passes in four of his last five games. Mark Andrews and Marquise Brown have combined for 1,225 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns while Willie Snead IV has 27 receptions. The Baltimore Ravens ground game is averaging 200.9 yards per contest, and Jackson leads the way with 1,017 yards and seven touchdowns. Defensively, Baltimore is allowing 18.2 points and 314.6 yards per game. Chuck Clark leads the Baltimore Ravens with 59 tackles, Matthew Judon has 8.5 sacks and Marcus Peters has three interceptions.
The Jets are 7-16-1 ATS in their last 24 games as a road underdog, 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games and 7-15-1 ATS in their last 23 games overall. The Ravens are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games as a favorite, 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 Thursday games and 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games overall. The under is 4-1 in Ravens last 5 games in December. The under is 7-3 in Jets last 10 vs. AFC. The Jets are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 meetings in Baltimore and 2-6 ATS in their last 8 meetings. The favorite is 6-2 ATS in their last 8 meetings. The under is 3-1-2 in the last 6 meetings.
The New York Jets are 3-6 ATS in their last nine games as a double-digit underdog. The Baltimore Ravens are 3-10 ATS in their last 13 games as a double-digit favorite. It's hard to believe in the recent stretch from the New York Jets considering those wins came against the Giants, Redskins, Raiders and Dolphins, and I'll continue to say that Adam Gase is a joke of a head coach. The Baltimore Ravens continue to be the hottest team in football and five of their last seven wins have been decided by double digits. With that said, I'm not touching this number on a quick turnaround for both teams. Instead, give me the under. The Ravens have the defense to slowdown the Jets offense and the under has cashed in five of their last seven home games. This should be an ugly, one-sided contest that keeps us just under the total.
