The Tennessee Titans and the Carolina Panthers will match up in NFL action on Sunday.
Tennessee enters this one at 4-4 overall. The Titans have fallen to the Colts, Jaguars, Bills and Broncos but taken out the Browns, Falcons, Chargers and Buccaneers.
In the win over the Bucs, Tennessee QB Ryan Tannehill put up 193 yards and three touchdowns, while Derrick Henry rushed for 75 yards. Tops in receiving was Jonnu Smith with 78 yards and a TD on seven grabs.
Over on the Panthers’ side, they’re 4-3 this year. Carolina has beaten the Cardinals, Texans, Jaguars and Buccaneers but dropped to the Rams, Buccaneers and 49ers.
In the loss to the Niners, Carolina QB Kyle Allen put up 158 yards and three picks, while Christian McCaffrey rushed for 117 yards and a score. Curtis Samuel led the receivers with 46 yards on four catches.
Tennessee is 3-1-1 ATS in their last five in Week 9 and 14-29-1 ATS in their last 44 after an ATS win. The Titans are 5-13-1 ATS in their last 19 in November and the over is 6-0 in their last six in Week 9.
Meanwhile, the Panthers are 3-0-1 ATS in their last four in Week 9 and 4-1 ATS in their last five overall. Carolina is 3-8 ATS in their last 11 on grass and the over is 4-1 in their last five overall.
Since being shut out by the Broncos a few weeks back, the Titans have won consecutive games against the Chargers and Bucs, albeit by just seven combined points. Still, it’s a vast improvement over their 1-4 stretch that started in Week 2.
As for the Panthers, they looked pretty bad against the 49ers, and it’s looking like Kyle Allen will start again here. Given that, I’m leaning toward taking a chance on Tennessee with a cover but staying away.
