The Line: Philadelphia Eagles -14.5 -- Over/Under: 44.5
The New York Jets and the Philadelphia Eagles will meet up in NFL action on Sunday.
The Jets are sitting at 0-3 in the early-going. New York has dropped to the Bills 17-16, the Browns 23-3 and the Patriots 30-14 so far.
In the Week 3 loss, New York QB Luke Falk had 98 yards and a pick, while Le’Veon Bell had 35 yards rushing. Braxton Berrios led the receivers with two catches for 29 yards.
Over on the Eagles’ side, they’re 2-2 this year. Philly has fallen to the Falcons 24-20 and the Lions 27-24 but taken out the Redskins 32-27 and Packers 34-27.
In the Green Bay win, Eagles QB Carson Wentz posted 160 yards with three scores and Jordan Howard put up 87 yards and two TDs rushing. Zach Ertz had 65 yards on seven receptions as well.
The Jets are 8-2-1 ATS in their last 11 in October and 2-5 ATS in their last seven after a bye week. New York is 1-4-1 ATS in their last six overall and 1-6-1 ATS in their last eight on grass.
Meanwhile, the Eagles are 4-0 ATS in their last four after an ATS win and 7-2 ATS in their last nine in October. Philly is 5-2 ATS in their last seven in Week 5 and 2-7 ATS in the last nine home games.
New York is hoping to get first-string QB Sam Darnold (mono) back soon, but it’s likely not going to be here. That means more Luke Falk, and more scoring failures from the offense.
Still, the Jets defense does have some playmakers on it so they should be okay on that side of the ball. I doubt there’s any way New York will get close here but two touchdowns seems a little thick. I’ll take the Jets to squeak into a cover.
