Washington Wizards Betting Preview
The Washington Wizards have been in decent form so far as they’ve split their first six games and they will be looking to build some momentum after making light work of the Hornets in a 95-76 home win on Friday. Anthony Davis led the team with 25 points and 13 rebounds on eight of 17 shooting, Trae Young added 21 points with six rebounds and nine assists while AJ Dybantsa chipped in with 17 points and seven rebounds. As a team, the Wizards shot just 39 percent from the field and 10 of 30 from the 3-point line, but this win was all about their defense as they held the Hornets to just 30 percent shooting for the entire game and were always in control after taking a 25-point lead in the third quarter.
Orlando Magic Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Orlando Magic have yet to get going as they’ve dropped four of their first six games and they will be hoping to bounce back in this one after getting beaten by the Celtics in a 108-97 home defeat last night. Anthony Black and Tristan da Silva led the team with 23 points each, Desmond Bane added 19 points while Franz Wagner chipped in with 14 points and 12 rebounds. As a team, the Magic shot 42 percent from the field and 14 of 39 from the 3-point line as they rallied in the third quarter to overcome a 13-point deficit and take the lead, but it was short-lived as they could only manage four points in the final 3:58 to allow the Celtics to pull away at the end. Franz Wagner had a rough night as he shot just five of 20 from the field while Jase Richardson scored just four points on two of eight shooting.
Washington v Orlando Free Prediction
The Wizards are still missing Justin Champagnie and Tristan Vukcevic with Alex Sarr and Anthony Gill both questionable, while the Magic have ruled out Paolo Banchero, Jalen Suggs, Jonathan Isaac and Noah Penda once again. The Wizards have yet to hit their stride, but they looked great in their dominant win over the Hornets on Friday and they could be getting some players back in action. In contrast, the Magic have struggled with their injuries and they now have to play on zero days rest following a tough loss to the Celtics. We should be in for a close one here, but while I understand why the Magic are still favorites at home, I am liking what I am seeing from the Wizards and I think they pull off the minor upset in this spot.
