The Utah Jazz invade the Capital One Arena to take on the Washington Wizards on Thursday night. Here’s a Utah Jazz vs. Washington Wizards prediction. This article will include a Utah Jazz vs. Washington Wizards pick.

Utah Jazz Betting Preview

The Utah Jazz have been in a real slump, as they’ve lost 19 of their last 23 games overall and they will be hoping to put an end to a seven-game losing streak after falling just short to the 76ers in a 106-102 road defeat last night. Keyonte George led the team with 30 points, Isaiah Collier added 18 points with five assists, and Ace Bailey chipped in with 12 points.

As a team, the Jazz shot just 41 percent from the field and 12 of 39 from the 3-point line as they poured in 35 points in the third quarter to take the lead after a slow start to the game, only to go ice-cold when it mattered most as they scored just two points in the final 4:50 to fall just short in the end. Brice Sensabaugh scored just seven points on three of 12 shots, while Elijah Harkless scored just three points.

Washington Wizards Betting Preview

Meanwhile, the Washington Wizards have been in a major slump, as they’ve lost nine of their last 11 games overall and they will be hoping to put a halt to a six-game losing streak after getting routed by the Magic in a 126-109 road defeat on Tuesday. Will Riley led the team with 19 points on eight of 13 shooting, Jaden Hardy added 18 points, and Sharife Cooper chipped in with 16 points.

As a team, the Wizards shot just 47 percent from the field and seven of 32 from the 3-point line as they got off to a decent start and were right in the contest early as they trailed by just three points at halftime, before they leaked 40 points in the third quarter to trail by as many as 25 points at one stage. The Wizards didn’t get nearly enough production from their starters, as Tre Johnson scored just nine points on three of 12 shooting, while Bilal Coulibaly shot three of 12 from the field for his six points.

Utah Jazz vs Washington Wizards Prediction

The Jazz are still missing Lauri Markkanen, Jusuf Nurkic, Jaren Jackson Jr., and Vince Williams Jr., while the Wizards have ruled out Alex Sarr, Anthony Davis, Cam Whitmore, and Kyshawn George. You really couldn’t trust either side with any confidence at the moment, as the Jazz and the Wizards have been two of the coldest teams in the league. The Jazz were more than competitive in a narrow loss to the 76ers last night, but I don’t know if they can build on that in their second game of a back-to-back set. These two teams have yet to collide this season, but I am leaning towards the Wizards to get the narrow win and cover in this spot.

Peter Tran's Pick: Washington -2.5
