Minnesota Timberwolves Betting Preview
The Minnesota Timberwolves are still undefeated after three games and they were able to make a statement last night with a 117-94 blowout win over the red-hot Raptors. Anthony Edwards led the team with 26 points on 10 of 18 shooting, LaMelo Ball and Terrence Shannon Jr each scored 15 points while Jaden McDaniels chipped in with 14 points, six rebounds and three assists. As a team, the Timberwolves shot a healthy 56 percent from the field and 15 of 31 from the 3-point line, but this win was more about their defense as they kept the Raptors in check early on to take an eight-point lead into halftime, before they dominated the third quarter by 35-15 to put the game to bed early.
Cleveland Cavaliers Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Cleveland Cavaliers will be feeling a little better after they bounced back from their tough loss on opening night with a 125-121 home win over the Nets on Saturday. Donovan Mitchell led the team with 22 points, Jarrett Allen added 21 points on seven of eight shooting while Evan Mobley tallied 20 points with 10 rebounds, four assists and three blocks. As a team, the Cavaliers shot 51 percent from the field and 16 of 38 from the 3-point line as they set the tone early and poured in 68 points in the first half to open up a 22-point lead and they proved to be crucial as they leaked 41 points in the fourth quarter and saw their lead get cut to just two points before they escaped on free throws in the final possession.
Minnesota v Cleveland Free Prediction
The Timberwolves are still missing Donte DiVincenzo, while the Cavaliers have a full squad once again. The Timberwolves have emerged as one of the hottest teams in the league and they would’ve taken so much confidence from their big win over the Raptors who looked great heading into the contest. The Cavaliers have been much less convincing so far and there was an element of luck in their narrow win over the lowly Nets. The Timberwolves are playing their second game of a back to back set, so of course the Cavaliers will open as home favorites, but if you’re looking for an upset to bet on, I think this is a good candidate given how well the Timberwolves have played so far.
