The San Antonio Spurs have been on fire as they’ve won 16 of their last 19 games overall and they are now riding an 11-game win streak after blowing past the Nets in a 126-110 road win on Thursday. Julian Champagnie led the team in scoring with 26 points on 10 of 14 shooting, Stephon Castle added 18 points with five assists, De’Aaron Fox scored 14 points with six assists while Victor Wembenyama tallied 12 points with eight rebounds and five assists. As a team, the Spurs shot 49 percent from the field and 17 of 43 from the 3-point line as they dominated the first quarter by 36-22 to open up a double digit lead and they just kept building on the lead until it ballooned to 26 points at one stage.
New York Knicks Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the New York Knicks have been in decent form lately as they’ve won five of their last eight games overall, but they will be eager to build some momentum after smashing the Bucks in a 127-98 road win on Friday. Jalen Brunson led the team with 27 points on 11 of 17 shooting, OG Anunoby added 24 points on eight of 10 shooting while Karl-Anthony Towns chipped in with 17 points and 13 rebounds. As a team, the Knicks shot 52 percent from the field and an efficient 21 of 42 from the 3-point line as they stormed out of the gates with 77 points in the first half to take a 20-point lead into halftime, before they finished with a flurry in the fourth quarter to make it a comprehensive blowout.
San Antonio v New York Free Prediction
The Spurs are still missing Mason Plumlee but they could have the newly acquired Harrison Ingram make his debut, while the Knicks have ruled out Miles McBride once again. These teams have already clashed once this season with the Spurs winning by 134-132 on Dec 31 after trailing by as many as 19 points. Both teams have been playing well since that meeting, but the edge is clearly with the Spurs who are playing their best basketball of the season right now. We should be in for another close contest here, but the Spurs are almost fully healthy and they are on fire, so I will back the Spurs to get the job done at the short line in this spot.
