The Sacramento Kings pay a visit to the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Rocket Arena on Friday night. Here’s a Sacramento Kings vs Cleveland Cavaliers Prediction. This article will include a Sacramento Kings vs Cleveland Cavaliers Pick.

Sacramento Kings Betting Preview

The Sacramento Kings have been in terrible form as they’ve lost 10 of their last 14 games overall and they will be looking to avoid a fourth straight defeat after getting routed by the Raptors in a 122-109 loss on Wednesday. Russell Westbrook led the team with 23 points, Zach LaVine added 19 points with five assists while Malik Monk chipped in with 17 points on six of seven shooting off the bench.

As a team, the Kings shot 47 percent from the field and nine of 33 from the 3-point line as they hit the ground running with 61 points in the first half to take an early 12-point lead. However, they let their hard work go to waste in the third quarter where they got outscored by 43-21 to fall behind by as many as 19 points before they even knew what hit them.

Cleveland Cavaliers Betting Preview

Meanwhile, the Cleveland Cavaliers have been in pretty good shape as they’ve won eight of their last 12 games overall and they will be eager to keep it going after taking down the Hornets in a 94-87 road win on Wednesday. Donovan Mitchell led the team with 24 points and six assists, Evan Mobley added 14 points with 14 rebounds and three blocks while Jarrett Allen chipped in with 13 points and nine rebounds.

As a team, the Cavaliers shot just 39 percent from the field and eight of 40 from the 3-point line. However, this win was set up by their effort on defense as they were always in complete control after restricting the Hornets to just 32 points in the first half. The Cavaliers did a particularly good job of limiting the Hornets’ LaMelo Ball to just two points on one of 15 shooting from the field.

Why the Cleveland Cavaliers will win

  • The Kings have lost each of their last seven road games.
  • The Cavaliers have won six of their last seven games on the first leg of a back-to-back.
  • The Kings have failed to cover the spread in seven of their last eight road games against opponents who are on the first leg of a back-to-back.
  • The Cavaliers have covered the spread in four of their last five home games on the first leg of a back-to-back against Western Conference opponents.

Why the Sacramento Kings will win

  • The underdogs have won five of the last six games between the Kings and Cavaliers.
  • The Cavaliers have lost three of their last four games as home favorites following a road win.
  • The Cavaliers have failed to cover the spread in 14 of their last 15 home games following a road win.
  • The Kings have covered the spread in seven of their last eight games against the Cavaliers following a loss.

  • Four of the Kings’ last five games as road underdogs have gone OVER the total points line.
  • Four of the Cavaliers’ last five games as home favorites against the Kings have gone UNDER the total points line.

  • The Kings rank 30th in the league for rebound percentage this season (47.3%).

Sacramento Kings vs Cleveland Cavaliers Prediction

The Kings are still missing Keegan Murray, while the Cavaliers have ruled out Max Strus, Darius Garland and Sam Merrill. The Kings haven’t been able to get anything going lately, and their confidence took another gut shot after getting blown out by the Raptors on Wednesday despite a red-hot start.

In contrast, the Cavaliers have continued their strong run with a solid win over the Hornets, and it was excellent to see them win behind their defense by limiting the Hornets to just 87 points. The Kings are still capable of making this a contest if Westbrook and LaVine can get off to another strong start, but the Cavaliers are in a groove right now. I think they win this one by double digits at home.

Peter Tran's Pick: Cleveland -11.5
