Portland Trail Blazers Betting Preview
The Portland Trail Blazers have cooled off a bit recently as they are now hoping to avoid a fourth straight defeat after falling just short to the slumping Wizards in a 115-111 loss on Tuesday. Shaedon Sharpe led the team with 31 points on 11 of 20 shooting, Deni Avdija added 17 points with 12 rebounds while Tounami Camara chipped in with 16 points, nine rebounds and four assists. As a team, the Trail Blazers shot just 39 percent from the field and 14 of 38 from the 3-point line as they poured in 34 points in the third quarter to take the lead after trailing by 11 points. However, the Trail Blazers couldn’t make their shots when they needed it most as they got outscored by 13-7 in the final 3:31 to allow the Wizards to steal the game in the end.
New York Knicks Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the New York Knicks look like they have moved on from their slump as they are now aiming for a fifth straight victory after making light work of the Raptors in a 119-92 road win on Wednesday. Mikal Bridges led the team with 30 points on 12 of 15 shooting, OG Anunoby added 26 points with five assists and six steals on 11 of 18 shooting while Josh Hart tallied 22 points with five rebounds and six assists. As a team, the Knicks shot 50 percent from the field and 14 of 38 from the 3-point line as they got off to a slow start and trailed for most of the first half after scoring just 18 points in the first quarter. However, the Knicks must have had a good discussion during the halftime break as they absolutely dominated the second half by 72-41 to come away with the statement win on the road.
Portland v New York Free Prediction
The Trail Blazers are still missing plenty of players as Kris Murray, Scoot Henderson, Matisse Thybulle and Blake Wesley are still out with Robert Williams III and Deni Avdija both listed as questionable, while the Knicks are keeping an eye on Josh Hart and Miles McBride who are both questionable. The Trail Blazers were on a great run before they dropped their last three games and they didn’t look great in their loss to the lowly Wizards on Tuesday, while the Knicks are starting to heat up again with four wins on the trot and they were able to make light work of a red-hot Raptors squad in their last outing. I might be tempted to take the Trail Blazers if I knew that Williams III and Avdija were definitely available, but with the injury cloud hanging over the Trail Blazers, I prefer a look at the Knicks to continue their hot run with another win and cover at home.
