The Detroit Pistons have already emerged as one of the hottest teams in the league and they will be brimming with confidence after taking apart the highly touted 76ers in a 106-93 road win on Sunday. Cade Cunningham led the way with 26 points, eight rebounds and eight assists on nine of 19 shooting, Duncan Robinson added 21 points on six of 12 shooting, Daniss Jenkins tallied 18 points with six assists while John Collins chipped in with 16 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks. As a team, the Pistons shot 44 percent from the field and 14 of 34 from the 3-point line as they caught fire early with 34 points in the first quarter to take an early 16-point lead, but they allowed the 76ers to cut their lead to just four points, before they went on a pivotal 6-0 in the fourth quarter to pull away for good. Ronald Holland II had a rough night as he shot just one of eight from the field for his two points.
New York Knicks Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the New York Knicks are now winless through their first three games after coming up well short to the banged up Magic in a 111-102 home defeat on Sunday. Jalen Brunson led the team with 28 points on 12 of 28 shooting, Karl-Anthony Towns tallied 22 points with 13 rebounds while OG Anunoby provided 22 points on six of 11 shooting. As a team, the Knicks shot just 41 percent from the field and nine of 38 from the 3-point line as they got off to a solid start and held the Magic in check to lead for most of the game, until the fourth quarter where they never regained the lead after allowing the Magic to go on a pivotal 11-0 run. The Knicks had no answer for the Magic’s Franz Wagner who scored 21 of his 23 points in the fourth quarter.

The Pistons are still missing Jalen Duren and they are keeping an eye on Isaiah Joe and Ausar Thompson who are both questionable, while the Knicks have ruled out Jose Alverado again. The Pistons remain one of the six teams in the league who are still undefeated, while the Knicks are one of the seven NBA teams still without a win this season. I’m sure the Knicks will turn things around sooner or later, but right now the Pistons are clearly the team playing better basketball right now and they would probably be favorites if they weren’t missing a few players. This should be a close one, so I will gladly take the Pistons with the points in a game they could win outright.
