Phoenix Suns Betting Preview

The Phoenix Suns have been on a tear as they’ve won 11 of their last 15 games overall and they will be eager to stay hot after outlasting the Nets in a 126-117 road win last night. Dillon Brooks drained six 3-pointers to lead the team with 27 points, Devin Booker was questionable before the game but he played and finished with 24 points while Collin Gillespie chipped in with 22 points and five assists on seven of 10 shooting. As a team, the Suns shot 57 percent from the field and a sizzling 20 of 39 from the 3-point line as they stormed out of the gates with 40 points in the first quarter to take an early 19-point lead, but they allowed the Nets back into the contest and didn’t reclaim control until the third quarter where they held the Nets to just 21 points to open up a 20-point lead.

Philadelphia 76ers Betting Preview

Meanwhile, the Philadelphia 76ers have been in pretty good form lately as they’ve won seven of their last 11 games overall and they will be eager to keep it going after outlasting the Pacers in a 113-104 home win last night. Joel Embiid led the team with 30 points, nine rebounds and four assists on 10 of 17 shooting, Tyrese Maxey added 29 points with eight assists and eight steals while Kelly Oubre Jr chipped in with 18 points and five assists. As a team, the 76ers shot 48 percent from the field and just five of 17 from the 3-point line as they struggled to get going and scored just 17 points in the second quarter to trail going into the halftime break, but they clawed their way back into the contest before they used a crucial 21-6 run in the fourth quarter to pull away and win comfortably in the end.

Phoenix v Philadelphia Free Prediction

The Suns are still slightly shorthanded with Jalen Green ruled out again with that hamstring injury, while the 76ers are keeping an eye on Paul George who remains day to day. The Suns have been flying under the radar lately as they’ve been playing some great basketball without anyone saying a word about them. The 76ers have also been playing some good basketball after a slow start to the season but there’s always a chance that they rest Embiid for this one given that they are playing their second game of a back to back set. It’s hard to split these two teams at the moment, but I’ve been slightly more impressed with the Suns’ recent run and I think they represent decent value as the underdogs in this one. Give me the Suns to pull off the minor upset on the road in this spot.

Peter Tran's Pick: Phoenix +1.5
