Phoenix Suns Betting Preview

The Phoenix Suns have been in a slump as they’ve lost six of their last eight games overall, but they will be feeling much better after blowing past the lowly Jazz in a 134-109 win on Saturday. Jalen Green led the team with 31 points on 13 of 22 shooting, Devin Booker added 26 points with eight assists while Grayson Allen chipped in with 19 points off the bench. As a team, the Suns shot 50 percent from the field and 17 of 53 from the 3-point line as they stormed out of the gates and were always in cruise control after dominating the first half by 73-45. The Suns led by as many as 34 points in this one and that was with Collin Gillespie finishing scoreless on zero of eight shooting from the field.

Memphis Grizzlies Betting Preview

Meanwhile, the Memphis Grizzlies have been in a real slump as they’ve lost 13 of their last 15 games overall, but they will be feeling much better after they snapped a five-game losing streak with a 125-124 win over the Bulls on Saturday. Cedric Coward led the team with 24 points, nine rebounds, four assists and four steals, Tyler Burton added 18 points off the bench while Jahmai Mashack chipped in with 17 points on eight of 12 shooting. As a team, the Grizzlies shot 47 percent from the field and 12 of 38 from the 3-point line as they squandered an 11-point lead in the fourth quarter, but with the scores tied late in the game, it was Walter Clayton Jr who drained a clutch 3-pointer with just 15.8 seconds on the clock to carry the Grizzlies over the line.

Phoenix v Memphis Free Prediction

The Suns are still missing Mark Williams, Dillon Brooks and Haywood Highsmith, while the Grizzlies have ruled out 11 players with DeJon Jarreau and Walter Clayton Jr both listed as questionable. You really couldn’t back either side with any confidence at the moment as the Suns were really struggling before their big win over the Jazz on Saturday and you could say the same about the Grizzlies who were ice-cold before their upset win over the Bulls. I would’ve been tempted to take the depleted Grizzlies with the points, but they could be even more shorthanded for this one, so I have to stick with the Suns to take advantage and escape with the comfortable win here.

Peter Tran's Pick: Phoenix -12.5
