The Philadelphia 76ers (20-30) are set to face the Detroit Pistons (25-26) on February 7, 2025, at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit. The 76ers are coming off a 108-101 loss to the Miami Heat, where they struggled offensively, shooting 38.5% from the field and 30% from three-point range. In contrast, the Pistons have shown resilience, notably pushing the Cleveland Cavaliers to the brink in a recent game. They will aim to leverage their home-court advantage to secure a victory against the 76ers.

Tyrese Maxey Over 29.5 Points

Tyrese Maxey has emerged as a leading scorer for the Philadelphia 76ers during the 2024-25 NBA season. He ranks fourth in the league with an average of 27.8 points per game. In addition to his scoring, Maxey contributes 6.2 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game. His shooting efficiency includes a field goal percentage of 44.6%. Throughout the season, Maxey’s consistent scoring and playmaking have been instrumental in the 76ers’ offensive strategies, solidifying his role as a key contributor to the team’s performance.

Maxey has scored 30 or more points in his last six games. Over that stretch, he had a 43-point game against the Lakers and a 42-point game against the Nuggets. He’s been a consistent 30-point or more player over the last month. I don’t see that changing going against this Pistons team who is just average on the defensive side of the ball. If it’s not broke don’t fix it. I will continue to bet on Maxey to have big nights scoring the ball.

Jalen Duren Over 11 Rebounds

Jalen Duren has been a dominant force on the boards for the Detroit Pistons during this NBA season. He’s averaging 10.0 rebounds per game, which places him 15th in the league. Duren’s rebounding prowess is highlighted by his ability to secure both offensive and defensive boards. He averages 3.5 offensive rebounds and 6.4 defensive rebounds per game. Throughout the season, Duren has recorded multiple double-doubles, showcasing his consistent impact on the game. His efforts have been instrumental in providing the Pistons with second-chance opportunities on offense and limiting opponents’ possessions on defense.

Assuming that Joel Embid will be out for this game and with Andre Drummond being out as well the Sixers team lacks size in the paint. I think this sets up perfectly for Duran to have a big night on the glass. We’ve seen him fail to collect over 11 rebounds in his last two games but this is a spot I want to buy low on him going against this hobbled Sixers team.

Guerschon Yabusele Over 1.5 Three Pointers

Guerschon Yabusele has been an effective three-point shooter for the Philadelphia 76ers during the 2024-25 NBA season. As of February 6th, 2025, he has appeared in 48 games, averaging 11.1 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game. Yabusele has attempted 182 three-pointers this season, making approximately 1.5 per game with a success rate of 40.1%.

We’ve seen Yabusele play more and more minutes as the season has gone on and he’s becoming a nice piece for the Sixers team. His three-point shooting has been a bit inconsistent but we’ve seen him have multiple games where he’s made at least 2 3-pointers. He has a favorable matchup going against the Detroit Pistons who give up 13.9 3-pointers per game to opposing teams which is well above the league average.
