Philadelphia 76ers Betting Preview
The Philadelphia 76ers will be hoping to stave off elimination after getting smashed by the Celtics in a demoralizing 128-96 loss in Game 4 on Sunday. Joel Embiid returned from injury to lead the team with 26 points, 10 rebounds and six assists on nine of 21 shooting, Tyrese Maxey added 22 points with six assists while Paul George chipped in with 16 points and three steals. As a team, the 76ers shot just 41 percent from the field and nine of 30 from the 3-point line as they got off to a terrible start and scored just 18 points in the first quarter to trail by 18 points at halftime and they didn’t put up much of a fight in the second half where they leaked 72 points to get completely blown out in the end. VJ Edgecombe had a quiet game of just six points on two of nine shooting while Kelly Oubre Jr scored just two points on zero of six shooting.

Meanwhile, the Boston Celtics now have their sights set on completing the gentleman’s sweep after taking care of business in a dominant win in Game 4 on Sunday. Payton Pritchard led the team in scoring as he drained six 3-pointers to finish with 32 points and five assists off the bench, Jayson Tatum added 30 points with seven rebounds and 11 assists while Jaylen Brown chipped in with 20 points. As a team, the Celtics shot 48 percent from the field and 24 of 53 from the 3-point line as they got off to a terrific start and outscored the 76ers by 34-18 in the first quarter to take an early double digit lead and they were ruthless in this one as the Celtics went on another run in the third quarter to push the margin out to 25 points which was more than enough to get the job done.
Philadelphia v Boston Free Prediction
The 76ers are keeping an eye on Joel Embiid who is a game time decision but given what is at stake, we will likely see him suit up for this one. The Celtics suffered a bit of a hiccup in their loss in Game 2, but a couple nice wins and they are back in the driver’s seat with a chance to close out the series at home. The 76ers were good enough to win Game 2 at the TD Garden, but to stay competitive in this one, they’re going to need someone to really step up and I don’t see that happening. The line is a bit hefty for this meeting, but I can see this being another blowout if the 76ers are behind at halftime. Give me the Celtics to secure the big win at home to book their tickets to the next round.
