Oklahoma City Thunder Betting Preview
The Oklahoma City Thunder have been on a tear as they’ve won 16 of their last 18 games overall and they will be eager to build on their current 11-game win streak after blowing past the lowly Wizards in a 132-111 road win on Saturday. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the team with 40 points and seven assists on 17 of 27 shooting, Chet Holmgren added 18 points with 10 rebounds while Jared McCain chipped in with 18 points off the bench. As a team, the Thunder shot 54 percent from the field and 11 of 30 from the 3-point line as they hit the ground running with 69 points in the first half to jump out in front, but it was a relatively close contest until the fourth quarter where they held the Wizards to just 15 points to make it a blowout win in the end.
Philadelphia 76ers Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Philadelphia 76ers have been in fine form as they’ve won five of their last seven games overall and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after beating the Jazz in a 126-116 road win on Saturday. Quentin Grimes led the team with 25 points on nine of 15 shooting, VJ Edgecombe added 22 points with 13 rebounds and four assists while Trendon Watford chipped in with 20 points, nine rebounds and four assists. As a team, the 76ers shot 50 percent from the field and six of 27 from the 3-point line as they got off to a poor start and allowed 70 points in the first half to fall behind early, but they worked their way back and were finally able to pull away in the fourth quarter where they closed the final 4:45 on a 18-8 run to escape with the win in the end.
Oklahoma City v Philadelphia Free Prediction
The Thunder are have ruled out Thomas Sorber again with Ajay Mitchell still serving his suspension, but the good news is that they expect to have Jalen Williams return to the lineup for this one, while the 76ers are still missing Tyrese Maxey, Joel Embiid and Kelly Oubre Jr. These teams last met on Dec 28 and it was the Thunder who won by 129-104 at home and I think we’re about to see a similar outcome here. The 76ers can still beat the lesser teams in the league, but without their best players they won’t be able to keep pace with the Thunder who are just about at full strength for the first time in a long time. We might see some periods of rust from the Thunder, but in the end I expect them to win this one rather easily.
