The Oklahoma City Thunder pay a visit to the Detroit Pistons at Little Caesars Arena on Wednesday night. Here’s an Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Detroit Pistons prediction. This article will include an Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Detroit Pistons pick.

Oklahoma City Thunder Betting Preview

The Oklahoma City Thunder have been in great form as they’ve won five of their last six games overall, and they will be gunning for a fourth straight victory after taking down the Raptors in a 116-107 road win last night. Cason Wallace led the team with 27 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists; Isaiah Joe added 22 points on seven of 14 shooting, while Alex Caruso chipped in with 16 points off the bench.

As a team, the Thunder shot 47 percent from the field and 16 of 40 from the 3-point line, but this win was set up by their effort on defense as they restricted the Raptors to just 19 points in the second quarter to take a nine-point lead into halftime before the Thunder poured in 38 points in the third quarter to push the margin out to 25 points at one stage.

Detroit Pistons Betting Preview

Meanwhile, the Detroit Pistons have been in great shape as they’ve won 17 of their last 22 games overall, but they will be hoping to bounce back after having their five-game win streak snapped by the Spurs in a 114-103 loss on Monday. Jalen Duren led the team with 25 points and 14 rebounds on 10 of 13 shooting; Cade Cunningham added 16 points with 10 assists, while Ronald Holland II chipped in with 15 points and 11 rebounds off the bench.

As a team, the Pistons shot just 38 percent from the field and seven of 36 from the 3-point line, which was good enough to keep pace with the Spurs in a tightly contested first half, but they went cold and were always playing from behind after scoring just 20 points in the third quarter. Cunningham had an off night as he shot just five of 26 from the field, while Tobias Harris scored just four points on one of six shooting.

Oklahoma City Thunder vs Detroit Pistons Prediction

The Thunder are still shorthanded with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Williams, and Ajay Mitchell all out, while the Pistons are at full strength except for Isaiah Stewart, who is still serving his seven-game NBA suspension. These two squads have yet to clash this season, but we should be in for a great contest with both teams heading into this meeting with the same number of losses on the season.

The Thunder are still missing some key players, and that did slow them down for a little while, but now they are rolling again and are coming into this one fresh off a solid win over the in-form Raptors. The Pistons head into this meeting as the hotter team right now, and they have the advantage of extra rest compared to the Thunder, who are playing their second game of a back-to-back set, so I will lean towards the Pistons to take advantage and come away with a statement win and cover in this one.

Peter Tran's Pick: Detroit -6.5
