The San Antonio Spurs will be hoping to get some revenge against the New York Knicks in Game 2 of the NBA Finals at the Frost Bank Center on Friday night. Here’s a New York Knicks vs San Antonio Spurs. This article will include a New York Knicks vs San Antonio Spurs Pick.

New York Knicks Betting Preview

The New York Knicks were able to continue their impressive postseason run with another road win, this time by blowing past the Spurs in a critical 105-95 Game 1 victory on Wednesday. Jalen Brunson really struggled for rhythm for most of the contest until the fourth quarter, when he took over to finish with 30 points on 12 of 31 shooting from the field. Karl-Anthony Towns played excellent defense and also finished with 18 points, 12 rebounds, and four assists, while OG Anunoby chipped in with 17 points on five of 12 shooting.

As a team, the Knicks shot just 41 percent from the field and 11 of 36 from the 3-point line as they got off to a slow start and scored just 19 points in the first quarter to trail early on, and things didn’t look great when the deficit ballooned to 14 points in the third quarter. However, that was where the Knicks found their groove and rallied back into the contest before they closed the final 1:50 on an 11-0 run to steal home-court advantage right away.

San Antonio Spurs Betting Preview

Meanwhile, the San Antonio Spurs will be kicking themselves as they know that they missed out on a great opportunity to take the series lead in Game 1 on Wednesday. Wembanyama had a mixed performance, scoring 26 points with 12 rebounds and 3 blocks, but shot just 6-for-21 from the field and committed 6 turnovers. Stephon Castle added 17 points, while Julian Champagnie and Dylan Harper each scored 16 points.

As a team, the Spurs shot just 36 percent from the field and 11-for-43 from 3-point range, looking in control for most of the game before they went cold in the second half. De’Aaron Fox had a rough game as he finished with just seven points on three of 13 shooting from the field with three turnovers, and Harper was the only bench player to score more than three points.

New York Knicks vs San Antonio Spurs Prediction

The Knicks haven’t really gotten tested in these playoffs until the series opener on Wednesday, but they played great defense to climb back into the contest before Brunson put the finishing touches on the fourth quarter with a late flurry of points. Now the pressure is fully on the Spurs to bounce back, or they will find themselves down 0-2 in the series heading to Madison Square Garden. The Knicks did a terrific job of slowing down the Spurs with Towns defending Wembenyama, which gave them a shot late in the game, but Game 1 could’ve easily gone either way if the Spurs had just given Wembenyama more support.

The Spurs’ role players didn’t do enough in their first NBA Finals appearance, but given what is at stake, I expect a bounce-back performance from someone like Fox, who didn’t have an impact in Game 1. The line is a bit higher than I would like, but given what is at stake, I expect the Spurs to get off to a strong start and take care of business to square up the series at 1-1 in this spot.

Peter Tran's Pick: San Antonio -6.5
