New York Knicks Betting Preview
The New York Knicks have been on fire as they are now gunning for a ninth straight victory after outlasting the Nuggets in a thrilling 134-127 double overtime win on Wednesday. Jalen Brunson led the team with 42 points, eight rebounds and nine assists, Karl-Anthony Towns added 24 points with 12 rebounds on nine of 13 shooting while OG Anunoby chipped in with 20 points, eight rebounds and four assists. As a team, the Knicks shot 50 percent from the field and 18 of 50 from the 3-point line as they failed to close out the fourth quarter and the first overtime despite holding the lead in the final seconds, but they made up for it the second overtime with a decisive 11-2 run to finally secure the win in front of a raucous home crowd.
Detroit Pistons Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Detroit Pistons have been in great shape as they have won 12 of their last 16 games overall and they were riding a three-game win streak before they got stopped in their tracks by the Wizards in a 126-117 loss last night. Cade Cunningham led the team with 30 points, eight rebounds and eight assists, Duncan Robinson added 21 points while Ausar Thompson chipped in with 13 points, nine rebounds, four steals and two blocks. As a team, the Pistons shot 47 percent from the field and nine of 33 from the 3-point line as they went on a run in the second quarter to cut an early 22-point deficit to just one point, but they leaked another 39 points in the third quarter to allow the Wizards to escape with the big upset win in the end.
New York v Detroit Free Prediction
The Knicks are shorthanded for this one as Miles McBride is still out and they are keeping an eye on Josh Hart and Karl-Anthony Towns who are both questionable, while the Pistons are still missing Tobias Harris, Dario Saric and Jalen Duren is listed as day to day. Both teams are coming into this meeting with plenty of momentum, but the Pistons are playing their second game of a back to back set after laying an egg against the lowly Wizards last night which opens the door for the surging Knicks. This should be a close one and you could argue for either side here, but I am leaning towards the Knicks assuming that Hart and Towns are both able to suit up
