The Timberwolves are pretty much the same team from a year ago with Anthony Edwards, Rudy Gobert, Julius Randle, Mike Coney and Jaden McDaniels in the starting five. Donte DiVincenzo and Naz Reid are the main guys off the bench. This group has shown it can get close to winning the title, the question is it enough to seal the deal, or is another move needed. The Trail Blazers are a young team that made strides last season, so there’s some intrigue here. A young core of Shaedon Sharpe, Deni Avdija, Toumani Camara, and Donovan Clingan has potential and is worth keeping together. Jrue Holiday becomes the leader of the locker room and brings defensive pressure to the starting lineup. While Damian Lillard likely misses the entire season, just seeing him back in Portland should uplift the spirits of the entire franchise. The Trail Blazers finished last season strong and played hard until the end. If things carry over, this could be a sneaky dark horse playoff contender. Don’t sleep on these baby Trail Blazers.

Either way, the Timberwolves are the better team and should be able to find a way to win. The Trail Blazers are a young squad that’s still trying to prove they can be trusted against the better teams in the league. If Edwards is cleared, this line will move greatly, so you can argue grabbing the soft line now has value if willing to take the chance. I’m rolling with the Timberwolves and banking that Ant-Man plays.
