The Miami Heat invade the Frost Bank Center to do battle with the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday night. Here’s a Miami Heat vs San Antonio Spurs Prediction. This article will include a Miami Heat vs San Antonio Spurs Pick.

Miami Heat Betting Preview

The Miami Heat are starting to get on a roll now, as they will be gunning for a fourth straight victory after blowing past the Hornets in a 144-117 home win on Tuesday. Jaime Jacquez Jr led the team with 28 points and five assists on nine of 14 shooting off the bench, Bam Adebayo added 26 points on 10 of 16 shooting while Andrew Wiggins chipped in with 21 points. As a team, the Heat shot a healthy 54 percent from the field and 20 of 45 from the 3-point line as they caught fire right away with 76 points in the first half.

They kept their foot on the gas with another 39 points in the fourth quarter to make it a complete blowout. It was a real balanced scoring effort with seven players finishing in double figures in scoring and the Heat have now won their last three games by an average of 22.6 points.

San Antonio Spurs Betting Preview

Meanwhile, the San Antonio Spurs have yet to taste defeat as they now are aiming for a fifth straight victory after running past the Raptors in a 121-103 home win on Monday. Victor Wembenyama led the team with 24 points, 15 rebounds and four assists on seven of eight shooting, Stephon Castle added 22 points with five rebounds and four assists, Harrison Barnes scored 18 points while Devin Vassell chipped in with 15 points and five assists.

As a team, the Spurs shot a sizzling 58 percent from the field and 13 of 27 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 41 points in the first quarter to open up a 22-point lead. This was more than enough to hold off the Raptors in the fourth quarter. The Spurs didn’t get much from their reserves but their starters were so efficient all night with Barnes and Wembenyama shooting a combined 13 of 15 from the field.

Miami Heat vs San Antonio Spurs Prediction

The Heat are going to be severely shorthanded with Tyler Herro and Norman Powell ruled out. They are also keeping an eye on Nikola Jovic who is questionable, while the Spurs will again be without De’Aaron Fox, Jeremy Sochan, Kelly Olynyk, and Luke Kornet. The Heat have managed to build a bit of momentum despite the off-court dramas, but the Spurs have kicked off their season with four straight wins, and it’s been Wenbenyama who has been such a handful so far.

The Heat looked great in their last win, but I still believe that the Spurs have been the better team so far. Wembenyama is on fire, and he is getting plenty of support from his teammates, so I will stick with the Spurs at home in this spot.

Peter Tran's Pick: San Antonio -5.5
