The Miami Heat travel to the Rocket Arena to do battle with the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday night. Here’s a Miami Heat vs. Cleveland Cavaliers Prediction. This article will include a Miami Heat vs. Cleveland Cavaliers Pick.

Miami Heat Betting Preview

The Miami Heat have gone cold recently, as they are now on a five-game losing streak after getting humbled by the Spurs in a 136-111 loss on Monday. Norman Powell led the team with 21 points off the bench while Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro each scored 18 points but no other player finished in double figures in points.

As a team, the Heat shot just 40 percent from the field and 16 of 52 from the 3-point line but the real problems were on the defensive end, as they just had no answer for the Spurs, who exploded for 76 points in the first half. The Heat trailed in this one by as many as 30 points at one stage and they got outrebounded by 62-38.

Cleveland Cavaliers Betting Preview

Meanwhile, the Cleveland Cavaliers have been on fire, as they’ve won eight of their last 11 games overall and they will be aiming for a fifth straight victory after sneaking past the Magic in a 136-131 home win last night. Donovan Mitchell led the team with 42 points on 14 of 22 shooting, James Harden added 26 points with seven assists, and Evan Mobley and Sam Merrill each scored 19 points.

As a team, the Cavaliers shot a sizzling 60 percent from the field and 12 of 30 from the 3-point line as they caught fire with 40 points in the second quarter to take the narrow lead into halftime, before they pulled away late in the third quarter to take a crucial 11-point lead.

Miami Heat vs Cleveland Cavaliers Prediction

The Heat are still missing Terry Rozier and Jahmir Young, while the Cavaliers have ruled out Craig Porter Jr. and Jarrett Allen again, with Jaylon Tyson still listed as day-to-day.

The Heat could really do with a win to get them out of the funk they’ve been in lately, but it doesn’t get much easier for them as they now take on the red-hot Cavaliers, who have won four in a row. It’s hard to gauge much from the two past meetings between these teams this season, as they both occurred back in November, but the Cavaliers are still favorites in this one despite this being their second game of a back-to-back set. This should be close, but I prefer a play on the more reliable Cavaliers to get the job done at home.

Peter Tran's Pick: Cleveland -3.5
