Miami Heat Betting Preview
The Miami Heat have been in a groove lately as they’ve won six of their last eight games overall and they will be gunning for a fourth straight victory after blowing past the Nets in a 126-110 home win last night. Tyler Herro led the team with 25 points and five assists, Bam Adebayo added 21 points despite battling foul trouble, Jaime Jacquez Jr tallied 18 points with seven rebounds and seven assists while Kel’el Ware made the most of extended minutes to finish with 16 points, 11 rebounds, five steals and seven blocks. As a team, the Heat shot 53 percent from the field and nine of 27 from the 3-point line as they squandered an early lead and looked in trouble when Adebayo left midway through the third quarter with his fifth personal foul, but that’s when the Heat really turned it on thanks to a Ware who was a real spark plug on the defensive end in this one. It wasn’t the most clinical of wins, but the Heat were able to turn it on when it mattered most and were good enough to beat the Nets for the second time in three nights.
Charlotte Hornets Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Charlotte Hornets have been on fire as they’ve won 16 of their last 19 games overall and they will be eager to build on their current six-game win streak after smashing the red-hot Celtics in a 118-89 road win on Wednesday. Kon Knueppel led the team with 20 points on seven of 14 shooting, Brandon Miller and LaMelo Ball each scored 18 points while Coby White chipped in with 17 points and six assists off the bench. As a team, the Hornets shot 46 percent from the field and 19 of 49 from the 3-point line as they swarmed the Celtics from the start and set the tone with 35 points in the first quarter to take a 21-point lead into halftime which was more than enough to get the comfortable win as the Hornets held the Celtics to just 38 percent shooting for the game.
Miami v Charlotte Free Prediction
The Heat are still missing Simone Fontecchio, Nikola Jovic and Norman Powell, while the Hornets have ruled out Tidjane Salaun due to a left calf strain. The Heat have been playing some of their best basketball of the season and they have already smashed the Hornets twice this season by an average of 22.5 points, but the Hornets are clear favorites in this meeting, especially with the Heat playing their second game of a back to back set. This matchup has been one-way traffic in favor of the Heat so far, but I expect the Hornets to get some payback at home in this spot.
