The Detroit Pistons play host to the Charlotte Hornets at Little Caesars Arena on Wednesday night.
Charlotte Hornets Betting Preview
The Charlotte Hornets have gotten off to a great start so far with three wins from their four outings and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after outlasting the new-look Wizards in a 110-103 home win on Monday. Brandon Miller led the team with a career-high 39 points on 15 of 28 shooting, Naz Reid added 18 points with 12 rebounds while Grayson Allen chipped in with 15 points off the bench. As a team, the Hornets shot 43 percent from the field and 12 of 39 from the 3-point line as they poured in 35 points in the second quarter to take the early lead and just when it looked like the Wizards were fighting their way back, the Hornets went on a decisive 12-2 run in the fourth quarter to finish the job at home.
Detroit Pistons Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Detroit Pistons will be hoping to bounce back in this one after having their perfect start to the season ruined by the Knicks in a 111-97 road defeat last night. Paul Reed led the team in scoring with 22 points on nine of 12 shooting, Cade Cunningham added 19 points with nine rebounds and eight assists while Duncan Robinson chipped in with 12 points. As a team, the Pistons shot 43 percent from the field and nine of 37 from the 3-point line as they stormed out of the gates with 38 points in the first quarter to lead by double digits but it didn’t last long at all as the Pistons scored just 25 points in the second and third quarters combined to fall behind by as many as 27 points at one stage.
Charlotte v Detroit Free Prediction
The Hornets are still missing Grant Williams, Kon Knueppel and Coby White, while the Pistons have ruled out Isaiah Joe and Jalen Duren again. The Hornets are still banged up but they will be quietly confident heading into this matchup following their win over the Wizards on Monday thanks to a career game from Brandon Miller. However, the Pistons were playing great basketball before last night’s humbling defeat to the Knicks, so I expect them to bounce back at home and secure a relatively comfortable win here.
