Miami Heat Betting Preview
The Miami Heat have really struggled to get going this season as they are now riding a four-game losing streak after falling painfully short to the Mavericks in a 113-109 home defeat on Monday. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the team with a triple-double of 29 points with 14 rebounds and 11 assists, Davion Mitchell added 21 points on nine of 15 shooting while Andrew Wiggins and Pelle Larsson each scored 12 points. As a team, the Heat shot just 45 percent from the field and 13 of 41 from the 3-point line as they went on a 37-17 run to overcome a slow start and take a 12-point lead, but they just had no answer for the Mavericks’ Cooper Flagg who dominated on both ends off the floor with 29 points, 11 assists, five steals and three blocks.
Atlanta Hawks Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Atlanta Hawks will be hoping to avoid a third straight defeat after getting beaten by the Rockets in a 120-110 road loss on Monday. Jalen Johnson led the team with 21 points, nine rebounds and three assists, CJ McCollum added 20 points on eight of 16 shooting while Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Aaron Wiggins each scored 12 points. As a team, the Hawks shot 43 percent from the field and 11 of 39 from the 3-point line as they got off to a decent start with 35 points in the first quarter to jump out in front early, but the game was tightly contested until early in the fourth quarter where the Hawks allowed the Rockets to go on a decisive 22-2 run to fall well short in the end. Dyson Daniels had a quiet game of just four points on two of eight shooting.
Miami v Atlanta Free Prediction
The Heat could be slightly shorthanded for this one with Simone Fontecchio listed as doubtful, while the Hawks are keeping an eye on Aaron Wiggins who is questionable due to left knee contusion. The Heat will take just about any win they can get at this point, but they’ve still yet to find a reliable scoring option to pair with Antetokounmpo as the experiment with Adebayo hasn’t been working so far. The Hawks have had to endure a much tougher schedule so far and their last two games were against the undefeated Rockets, so they’ve been playing better than their record suggests. You can’t back either side with any confidence right now, but the Heat look lost on offense at times, so I will stick with the Hawks to take advantage while the Heat are still working through their rotations.
