Detroit Pistons Betting Preview
The Detroit Pistons have been in a groove as they’ve won eight of their last 10 games overall and they will be eager to keep it going after running past the Pelicans in a 129-108 home win on Thursday. Jalen Duren led the team with 30 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists on 10 of 12 shooting, Kevin Huerter added 22 points on nine of 14 shooting while Daniss Jenkins chipped in with 19 points and nine assists. As a team, the Pistons shot 56 percent from the field and 15 of 28 from the 3-point line as they poured in 34 points in the second quarter to take a nine-point lead into halftime, but the game was still relatively close until late in the third quarter where the Pistons were able to pull ahead by double digits.
Minnesota Timberwolves Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Minnesota Timberwolves have been in fine form as they’ve won five of their last seven games overall and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after sneaking past the Rockets in a 110-108 overtime win on Wednesday. Jaden McDaniels led the team with 25 points on 10 of 17 shooting, Julius Randle added 24 points with six rebounds and six assists while Donte DiVincenzo chipped in with 17 points. As a team, the Timberwolves shot 42 percent from the field and 13 of 37 from the 3-point line as they battled the Rockets in a thriller and looked to be dead in the water when they trailed by 13 points in overtime, before they closed the game on a ferocious 15-0 run to snatch one of the wildest comebacks in NBA history.
Detroit v Minnesota Free Prediction
The Pistons have ruled out Caris LeVert, Cade Cunningham and Duncan Robinson, while the Timberwolves have ruled out Ayo Dosunmu and Anthony Edwards both listed as day to day. These two teams have yet to meet this season and both teams have been playing some great basketball lately, so we should be in for a good contest here. The Pistons open as the underdogs here despite entering as the hotter team overall, but that’s mainly due to the absence of Cade Cunningham. On the other hand, the Timberwolves should have Edwards in action but they didn’t need him in their thrilling comeback overtime win. This is a tough one to pick, but the Timberwolves are at home and they should be well-rested as they haven’t played since Wednesday, so I will lean towards the Timberwolves to get the narrow win and cover at home.
