The Philadelphia 76ers have been one of the hottest teams in the league as they’ve won eight of their first 10 games but they will be hoping to bounce back in this one after having their five-game win streak snapped by the Cavaliers in a 119-95 road defeat on Friday. Jaylen Brown led the team with 20 points and five assists, VJ Edgecombe added 19 points on eight of 13 shooting while Tyrese Maxey chipped in with 17 points but no other player scored more than eight points. As a team, the 76ers shot a miserly 36 percent from the field and 10 of 40 from the 3-point line which was good enough to stay within striking distance going into halftime, but things only got worse in the second half where the 76ers managed just 41 points to get completely blown out on the road.

Meanwhile, the Chicago Bulls have been in a major slump as they’ve lost seven of their first eight games and they are now on a six-game losing streak after getting pummelled by the Knicks in a 135-105 road defeat on Wednesday. Tre Jones and Jaylin Sellers scored 14 points each while Matas Buzelis and Norman Powell scored 12 points apiece but no other player had more than 10 points. As a team, the Bulls shot a miserly 39 percent from the field and 10 of 44 from the 3-point line as they struggled from the tipoff and got smashed by 43-21 in the first quarter and things only got worse as the deficit swelled to 44 points as the Bulls had no answer for the Knicks. Norman Powell shot just three of 12 from the field and zero of five from the 3-point line while Caleb Wilson scored just five points on two of 12 shooting from the field.

The 76ers have ruled out Adem Bona and Dominick Barlow, while the Bulls have ruled out Zach Collins with Tobe Awake and Nic Claxton both listed as questionable for this one.
These teams last met on Monday and it was the 76ers who rolled to a 126-107 home victory behind a combined 72 points from Brown, Maxey and Edgecombe. The Bulls got blown out by the 76ers despite getting off to a pretty good start and things only got worse for them in the following game where they were just no match for the Knicks. The 76ers open as heavy favorites again but I still don’t think the line is high enough, so I will happily stick with the 76ers to stay hot with another comfortable win and cover in this one.
