The New York Knicks and Detroit Pistons are set to clash in Game 6 of their first-round playoff series on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at 7:30 PM ET at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit. The Knicks lead the series 3-2 but missed an opportunity to close it out in Game 5, falling 106-103 at Madison Square Garden.
In Game 5, the Knicks struggled with third-quarter performance, being outscored 28-24, a recurring issue throughout the series. Their bench production has also been lacking; Miles McBride and Cam Payne have combined for minimal scoring, contributing to a significant bench scoring disparity of 153-63 in favor of the Pistons over the series.

Tobias Harris Over 15.5 Points
Tobias Harris is averaging 13.7 points per game while shooting 47.7% from the field and 34.5% from three-point range. He also maintained a strong free-throw percentage at 86.1%, contributing to a true shooting percentage of 57.1%. I’ve taken the over on Harris’s points in back-to-back games, and it’s paid off. The Pistons need to get Harris involved in the offense if they want to have a chance in this series. Cunningham can’t do it all, and Harris has been one of the guys to step up. Once again, I have no problem backing him in this one.
Cade Cunningham Over 6.5 Rebounds
Cunningham is averaging 6.1 rebounds per game, totaling 425 boards for the season. This marked a notable improvement in his rebounding numbers compared to previous seasons. Cunningham's rebounding prowess was complemented by his offensive contributions, as he also averaged 26.1 points and 9.1 assists per game. His rebounding numbers have been strong during this series with the Knicks. He has secured 7+ rebounds in his last 4 games. It’s do or die for the Pistons, and with this being a must-win game, I expect Cunningham to play most of this game, which will result in plenty of rebounding opportunities.
Mikal Bridges Over 15.5 Points
Bridges is averaging 17.6 points per game while shooting 50.0% from the field and 35.4% from three-point range. Bridges also contributed 3.2 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 0.9 steals, and 0.5 blocks per game, with a true shooting percentage of 58.5%. He’s scored 16+ points in 3 of the last 4 games of this series. The Pistons did a great job at limiting Brunson in game 5, which forced guys like Bridges to have more scoring opportunities. I expect the Pistons to have the same game plan and for Bridges to be a focal point in this offense.
