Where to Watch: TNT
The Boston Celtics and Orlando Magic will meet in Game 2 of their first-round playoff series on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at TD Garden in Boston. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. ET, with national coverage on TNT. The Celtics lead the series 1–0 after a 103–86 victory in Game 1.
In Game 1, Boston's perimeter shooting was a key factor, with Derrick White leading the team with 30 points, including seven three-pointers. The Celtics capitalized on Orlando's defensive lapses to create open shots beyond the arc. Kristaps Porzingis had a quiet offensive game, scoring just five points, but his defensive presence contributed to the team's success. Orlando's offense struggled in the second half of Game 1, managing only 86 points overall. Paolo Banchero scored 36 points, but the team was unable to maintain their first-half performance.

Derrick White Over 16.5 Points
Derrick White is averaging 16.4 points per game, with a field goal percentage of 44.2% and a three-point percentage of 38.4%. In addition to his scoring, White contributes 4.5 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game, while playing an average of 33.9 minutes per contest. His true shooting percentage stands at 60.6%, and he maintains a free throw percentage of 83.9%. White has been undervalued by oddsmakers all season long. We saw his line set at 13.5 in game one of this series, and he finished with 30 points. The Celtics' stars garner so much attention, which opens up things for Derrick White. White always seems to show out in big games as well.
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope Under 7.5 Points
KCP is averaging 8.7 points per game, with a field goal percentage of 43.9% and a three-point percentage of 34.2%. In addition to his scoring, Caldwell-Pope contributes 2.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game, while playing an average of 29.6 minutes per contest. It’s evident that KCP isn’t having the season the Magic were hoping out of him. He’s scored 6 or fewer points in his last 4 games. The Celtics team plays elite perimeter defense, and I just don’t see KCP getting many good looks in this one.
Kristaps Porzingis Under 18.5 Points
Porziņģis is averaging 19.5 points per game, with a field goal percentage of 48.3%. In addition to his scoring, Porziņģis contributes 6.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game. I don’t like this spot for him. We saw him score just 5 points in the first game of this series. We have a total less than 200 in this game, and with the amount of mouths Boston has to feed, I just don’t see Porzingis getting enough opportunities to clear this line.
